You still have a good chance of conceiving on your own, but I can understand your frustration. Technically, you are not considered to by "infertile" until you have been trying for a full year, but I tend to tailor my advice to the circumstances. If you are both young and healthy, with no problematic points of medical history, I would suggest that you wait a while longer. If you are already in your late 30s, or 40s then I would begin the evaluation right away. The initial tests that should be performed are a semen analysis, then a Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, Prolactin, Complete Blood Count, and a Rubella titer on you, along with a full history and physical exam. From there, there are a number of legitimate directions to proceed.
