Reply to Dr. Braun's question about my postFrom: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 20 Feb 2000 14:23:28 -0600 (CST)
Hi Dr Braun, The question was about the endometrial tissue. After my supracervical hysterectomy, (I had one ovary left in) ,I had pretty good bleeding about 5 weeks after for a couple days and the light spotting each month for awhile , until I went into menopause a couple years later. My GYN did use nitrate sticks a couple times to cauterize me. Recently, while on hormone replacement, I had 2 episodes of light sudden bleeding. My GYN did a cervical biopsy and this came back with severe inflammation and I had several nabothian cysts. He did the Leep procedure. Two weeks later, I had bright red bleeding and clots and he packed me. He said the scab was off and the surgery site appreared dry. I guess I can't say for certain I have endometrial tissue, but my doc thinks so. What did you think of this and can you test for endometrial tissue? Appreciate the valuable time you give to helping us-Anne
