A High Basal Body TemperatureFrom: Tina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 15 Feb 2000 09:46:03 -0600 (CST)
My husband and I are trying to conceive our first child. We have been trying for a few months with no success. I recently started taking my basal body temperture after reading "Taking Charge of Your Fetility" by Toni Weschler. My temperatures since the start of my period have been between 97.8 and 98.2. I know this is higher than normal, but I'm concerned why that would be. I have been feeling warmer than normal so maybe this is just a flukey month. The one thing that maybe causing it is that I am unable to get 3 straight hours of sleep before taking my temperature. I usually wake up 1-2 times a night to go to the bathroom. I read in the book that if you wake up during the night that you should go ahead and take it then, but I would think it would be more important to take it at a consistent time. What would be causing this and what should I do? Thank you, Tina
