Hi Marina,

I am sorry that you are dealing with this problem. My Drs. also suspect Adeno, but unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is a Hysterectomy. Did your Dr. do any biopsies when he did the Lap for Endo? That is one sure way to know if you have Endo or not...just an extra confirmation by a Pathologist.

As for the Adeno, as I said, the only sure way to diagnose it, treat it and cure it is a Hyst. I am 33, and while I am almost at that point, I am not there yet. Definitely get a second opinion should the Dr. recommend this treatment.

Right now, although it is not a well used treatment from what I have learned, my Drs. are using Depo Provera. I received an injection every month for three months to make the uterine lining thinner faster, and then go to the once every three months. Their thinking is if they can get the uterine lining thin enough, and hopefully it won't contract and cause the cramping that I experience. Maybe try a course of continuous BCP's, where you take all of the active pills, and when you get to the inactive pills, just start a new pack of pills with the active ones. You don't take a break in between. My Drs. wanted me to take a break about every three months though to allow a cycle, something that you don't need with the Depo Provera. There is something in the archives about this and why you don't break and have a period with Depo, but you do with BCP's...I know, I asked the question ;o). You might also want to check the archives about Adeno as well, as I know this subject has come up from time to time.

Good luck, and I hope that you get a great report from your Dr. I will be thinking of you this afternoon.

P.S. I'm not a medical professional, but wanted to try and help you out until the Drs. could give their answers.
