Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: 1st period after baby" My baby is 4 months old and today I started my 1st period since delivery. I am not on birthcontrol and I am breastfeeding. Before pg my periods were light to moderate but today it is very heavy, so much that I have to change pads every 1 1/2 to 2 hours so it doesn't leak and then it still does sometimes. Is this normal and how much is too much? Thanks! My first period after my first baby four years ago was normal in flow and length.
