Re: doctors and usFrom: Terry J. DuBose (tjdubose@juno.com)Mon Dec 22 07:18:59 1997
Dave, are you saying that just because a person is a physician that it is impossible for them to be good at sonography? Your message sounds like that. You are painting with a rather too broad a brush. That is a bit over the line. I know some very good sonologists. Ellison's comment was that there are both physicians and non-physicians who are good at sonography as well as those who are not so good. (Ellison, by the way is not a she, not that it makes any real difference.) I hope we can keep the topic on OBGYN Sonography. I realize that legal and socioeconomic issues are often a part of that I think we do not need prejudicial, inflammatory personal attacks. Let's first assume that we are all here in the interest of good sonography and women's health, either with experience or those wanting to gain experience, but all wanting to learn. Obviously you have had some bad experiences, but please do not judge all people by those you may have worked with. Peace, Terry J. DuBose, M.S., RDMS Chair, Ultrasound@OBGYN.net

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
