There are two schools that you are almost half way between. My program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock and the other is El Centro Community College in Dallas. There are also schools in Austin, and Oklahoma City. I do not know of any schools in Lousiana, perhaps in the souhern part of the state. I would suggest you look at the http://wwweb sites for the American Registery of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (publishes a list of sonographic schools). http://www.aium.org http://www.sdms.org You can also find them by searching on the OBGYN.net site.

I hope this helps, let me know if you need more help. My office: 501-686-6510. Peace, Terry J. DuBose, M.S., RDMS Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
