Janet, Email digitized images to me and Kevin, both addresses are on the cc: of this message. Pick your best 2-3 images. Please include a short medical history and discussion. Especially something like your thoughts about vanishing twins, and any other "hmmmmmm....s" you might have. This is going to be good. Got any other good pathology... anyone? To see what we are talking about go to: http://www.obgyn.net/US/us_images.htm As far as video clips, I don't think we are quite there yet... but you are a futurist! That is where we are headed, eventually. May be after Internet2 is up and running. Peace, Terry J. I contacted the fellow sonographer who had the synechial band and she has many images on different formats, film, paper and video. If I have trouble with the film/paper can I digitize the video at work via laser imager or on a disk through the teleradiography system? This actually would be helpful to know for any future video images I have. I suppose I could somehow do a small vid clip too. While reviewing my films it dawned on me that we did first think my case was a twin gestation. In reflecting back this really ended up being singleton and there was never a second embryo identified...just what appeared to be two sacs with one being smaller and empty. Dr. Mamula, was there any identifiable embryo or yolk sac visualized in your initial scan? Now I am really curious if 'we' have been calling most of the vanishing twin syndromes in erroe and which few have really been a synechial band? Makes me just go hmmmmmm. On my case, her beta levels didn't fit the twin levels nor did she have the typical signs of hyperemesis. Dr. Mamula, I too have been amazed at the thought of you being in Europe and the rest of us scattered around the globe and how quickly a problem was reviewed, enhanced and hopefully answered. Janet Tomko RDMS [snipped] Dr. Mamula, Janet Tomko, RDMS, et al; Indeed this is exciting! It is slowly dawning on me how really powerful this medium is going to be. Thank you for your participation. I can't wait to see your images Janet.
