Hey Ya'll!From: ARNOLD@CSTCC.CC.TN.USMon Dec 1 11:55:58 1997
Sorry I'm so late in making my introduction, but it's been very busy trying to feed everyone over the Thanksgiving holidays!!!!! I'm Jody Arnold from Chattanooga, Tennessee (born & bred here - yes, I even have the accent to prove it!). Let's see.......I graduated from R.T. school w/ my A.S. degree in 1986, and got the opportunity to pursue my first "career love - ultrasound" within that next year. Vanderbilt was closing its doors and my 2 little ones made it hard to relocate, so I became an OJT sonographer who began attending lots of seminars and taking correspondence courses. I took and passed my UPI, OB/Gyn, & Abd/Sm Parts in 1988. I then finished my B.S. degree in 1994. During the early '90s, I had the opportunity to help develop a pilot clinical program at my workplace, so that our local community college could pick up the program and turn it into an accredited general sonography program to serve our region (which was "program-less"). I had four "graduates" before Chattanooga State took over the program as a post-rad. tech. specialty program. It only seemed natural at this point to apply for the position, but it was a real joy and surprise to be offered the program director position! So I then got the opportunity to develop an accredited ultrasound program, and we are now in our 4th program year. I'm beginning to get a little restless, and may decide to pursue another registry soon, but my husband and I have recently opened a new company, so my hands are definately full right now. (oops, I gave it away..... now you know my gender.....I fool a lot of people on the web!) Thanks for inviting me to participate...I greatly enjoy being re-educated and newly-educated on a daily basis (it can be overwhelming sometimes though, huh???) I look forward to interacting with each of you! Jody

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
