Global fee includes everything: image acquisition, interpretation and preparation of final report. If you bill for professional services only (-26 modifier) that would also include the interpretation and final report. Billing a separate E&M code for the report is not proper, and unless there is an identifiable separate consultation (which in many states requires a formal request from the referring provider) a separate E&M bill can be a red flag to auditors.

Can anybody tell me if the Medicare Global Fee includes the radioligist reading and report? Or is that a seperate CPT code?
