Respected Dr. Abdel-Maguid Ismail Ramzy Prof. of OB. GYN., Cairo Univ. Secr. General ESMANEH-Egypt Vice president IAMANEH-Geneva 20 Batal Ahmad Abdel-Aziz, Mohandessien, Giza, 12411 EGYPT

Sir,

Thanks for your reply on the cord around neck issue which lead to death of my newborn in a private hospital by negligence of doctor.. Sir, please arrange to reply my further questions as It would help me a lot in understanding the case.

Sir, I will be highly obliged by your kind favour.

1. Is there any ill or side effect of performing USG or Ultrasound on health of pregnant lady and baby, before delivery.

2. Is cord around neck detected from outside by mere physical checkup of a pregnant lady ? If No, then whether a good USG will be helpful to know the status of baby before delivery when all things like PR, BP, Hb etc. are normal?

3. When there is cord around neck and baby aspire meconium, then whether a proper FETAL MONITORING help to know the disturbed heart beat of baby or fetal distress?

4. If fetal distress is detected in time by doing proper fetal monitoring then whether timely intervention by caeserian section may improve outcome and might save the baby?

Thanks & Regards,
