Re: mid-term femur length trisomy risk queryFrom: FManningOB@aol.comThu Nov 17 08:47:49 2005
My view--fetal morphometrics ( eg femus length) are correlates, usually established from retrospective data bases. Save short limb dystrophies I think long bone measurement to assess risk of aneuploidy borders on useless and further creates mega anxietry in everyone. I am not a diagnostic nihilist but I do believe that basing any decision on a single variable is fraught with error Frank Manning

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
