Hi!

I would agree... THe better the equipment the more you see. My mentor once called a calcified fibroid a twin and measured the BPD. THis was on a bistable oscilloscope. Every new generation has produced its own artifacts and "novel" findings that were there all the time, as God has not changed the plan lately in my opinion. The tendency toward obesity is real and tends to undo our technical advances to a certain extent however.

My personal bias ... is that that certain markers, ie eif or echogenic bowel, are more commonly seen because of higher frequency transducers in the newer machines. Likelihood ratios may need to be recalculated.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
