Ob/Gyn US practice in Asian countries

Is anybody aware of any sostantial difference in the Ob/Gyn protocols in Asia with respect to either the Americas or Europe? Due to either physiolocical or cultural differences.

I am involved in the design of transvaginal probes and I have been receiveing contracdictory feedbacks from these two markets.

For example: The transducer head size (21-24mm diameter) seems to be a concern in Asia while it is not in the US.

Asian market seems to require deeper image penetration. Could the probe not be inserted all the way up to the cervix to limit patient discomfort/contact?

How frequent pelvic exams are done Transperineal? Whould this have a big influence on the transducer size?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
