These fetuses are actually both female. The conjoined fetus on the right has a more prominent clitoris. I have seen full term female infants with ambiguous genitalia to have an even more prominent clitoris, and more prominent labia resembling a penis without foreskin and testicles. Suzy Hettena RDMS

It it is true discordant gender in conjoined twins, it is beyond my understanding. The only possible explanation I could come up with, and a far stretch at that, would be two eggs fertilized, implanted at exactly the same time and place in the uterus and grew together... but it is really doubtful. Goes against all we know of embryology. Very interesting. Terry
