I had cervical dysplasia and had to have a cone biopsy in 1988, now I am pregnant and they want to do a circlage, I don't know if that is spelled correctly. Is it a safe procedure. Can I keep exercising as I have always worked out, and what about an amniocentisis, is that also safe. I am 41 yrs old. I had my first son when I was 19.I am extremely healthy, don't drink, and have always exercised. Being so healthy, does that make me a better candidate for a healthy baby, or is it the age of the eggs. Is there a big risk for anything to be wrong? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
