blood clot found in the uterusFrom: HIETPASC@aol.comTue Apr 9 08:24:24 2002
I recently had an ultrasound and the noticed an unsually large blood clot implanting into my uterus. My physician stated that theoretically this means miscarriage. I have searched for more information but am unable to find anything relating to this. Can you help? What are the chances for miscarriage? When might this most likely occur (I am at 9 1/2 weeks now). What is this possibly caused from? (I ask this because I have 9 month at home and not sure if this was because of giving birth less than a year ago). I anxiously wait to hear back. Thanks, Colleen

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
