I was diagnosed last week with mild ventriculomegaly through an U/S at 20 weeks. Other abnormal findings are extra fluid in the brain and slight extra spacing between the big and index toes. I think a measurement of 9.9mm rings a bell. I decided to have a amino and am still waiting for the results. My doctor is very positve about the outcome and thinks it's just a precautionery step to take the anmio. However, it's the genetic counselor who is making me very nervous. Anything I need to know while anxiously waiting for the result of my anmio. I would like to hear from some other experts. Janice

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
