or use a hand abdominally to try to retrovert the uterus. i try to avoid the tenaculum since it sorta defeats the purpose of a relatively painless noninvasive test. my own personal bias is that if i need to use instruments - i may as well perform hysteroscopy.

just my opinion - i could be wrong.
