The colour changes to the nipples are normally permanent. However, a small amount of fading can occur. If they have increased in size that it sometimes permanent and sometimes not. For contraception you can use the minipill, barrier methods or an intrauterine device once your uterus has returned to a normal size. If you have used a diaphragm in the past you need to have it re-sized.
