Beta hcg levels not rising

Hi. At 5.5 weeks after my LMP my Beta hcg was measured at 1335. Two days later (yesterday) it was measured at 1338. An internal ultrasound 3 days ago did find a gestational sac, but its measurement was consistent with less than a 5-week old embryo (smaller than expected). I have experienced consistent cramping, but no bleeding.

I did miscarry at 9 weeks (with severe bleeding) just five months ago.

Is there any chance that this remains a viable pregnancy? If not (which I sadly suspect), do I really have to wait several months before trying again?
