Don't worry

At 7 weeks if a virus is going to cause harm, then this usually results in a miscarriage at that time rather than an abnormality. Furthermore, only a few virus cause abnormalities most cause no problems and most important stomach bugs are bacteria not viruses. Finally, most stomach bugs don't actually get past your gut into your blood stream so your baby was probably never exposed. However, discuss this with your doctor. You may wish to have a detailed scan at 18 weeks. Furthermore, if you had other symptoms he may want to test you for some of the illnesses that we are concerned about.
