What folks normally refer to as "Dry Birth" is really "Chorioamnionitis" It got the name Dry Birth because it occurs when the membranes have been ruptured for a long time., But it really isn't dry. The fluid continues ot be produced by the fetal kidney. 99% of amniotic fluid in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters comes from the fetal kidney.
