If you have tested for high levels of sugar in your bloodstream, this means that your body does not utilize simple sugars as it should. your craving for sweets or not having sweets after regular meals really does not have anything to do with your feeling sick. Knowing what kinds of foods make you ill helps, because you can avoid them. You should adhere to the diet you have been given inorder to keep the blood sugar level under control. If you still have gastrointestinal problems after meals, see your doctor, you may have something unrelated to diabetes(high blood sugar).
