People can have different patterns. Some have a lead in pattern where the OPK gets darker and darker and then becomes positive, others have a lead out pattern and some women will have a faint test line (negative) all through their cycles. As the LH spikes, the most usual pattern is probably a sudden darkening and then a sudden lightening. Good luck!
