Still going on.....a couple of questions if you have time pleaseFrom: Anita (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 Sep 2000 20:30:36 -0500 (CDT)
I don't know if you remember my last posts about contractions and mucus and all that was going on in my belly - but now about four weeks on (now at 34ish weeks) I am still getting quite strong contractions with a lot of pain and losing almost a handful of mucus every couple of days. I have been to see my OB and he is just observing me and letting it run it's course which is great (sort of). I jsut have a couple of questions if I may - last time he said my cervix was "tight" and not to worry - he did a thorough internal examination which left me rather uncomfortable for two days. This time he said it was a lot softer and I hardly felt any pain - is this common for a the pain to be less with a softer cervix? He also said the baby was at -3. What does this mean? He did an in depth untra sound and said the baby's lungs and heart were great and the weight was wonderful, so not to worry if I went into labour as the baby would almost certainly be fine. I am so uncomfortable - and I can really feel pain with the contractions in the same place I feel the pain after an internal - I am guessing it's my cervix. Six more weeks of this???!!!??!!!!
