30 weeks pg and caring for dying pet

I am 30 weeks pregnant and, for the last few days, having been caring for a very sick, dying cat. The cat is 15 years old and I believe it is better for the cat to be at home amongst family than die at the vet.

My concern is for that of my unborn baby. Is my caring for this family pet any cause for alarm?? I have not been through this before and do not know if a dying pet can cause any problems for the baby.

If anyone has ANY kind of information or can tell me if it's ok to be around this pet, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.
