I had a d&c done 3 weeks ago....for retained placenta (at first the doctor said 'accreta' he then said the only way to diagnos accreta was to remove the uterus...Is that true? .) I am still bleeding, very little...& ..I am still experienceing the same pain as before (left lower side of abdomen and extending to my thighs and lower back) IS this normal, the bleeding and the pain? And when I go for my checkup ---what should be done during the visit? (u/s, vaginal exam, blood tests for HCG????? Any questions I should ask my doctor? After the trauma I have been thru I want to ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that it is not growing back. (sorry to sound so paranoid...but i have went thru some severe bleeding and pain, I just want to be sure.)
