Baby @ -2 Station and 1-2 cm dialated what does this mean?

I had a pelvic exam today at my 39 week OB appointment. Doctor said baby was at -2 station, what station does baby go into during labor? I guess I don't understand what it means. I'm 1-2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. Was induced with my son because my cervix was shut tight. What are my chances of being induced this time? Am I on my way or could I get "stuck" where I am? Now after coming home, I just realized I am spotting a bit. Maybe this is a good sign? Thanks for any insight.
