Jodi you're so darn cute! :)

I agree with everything you said - I'm really tomboyish myself. I always was basically a "boy, but with breasts!" while growing up and stll I think my personality has more masculine features than feminine. But after a year or so on the Met I realized I was getting more in touch with my feminine side, making friends with girls (eek!) and stuff like that. I developed a fear of spiders :) and for the first time in my whole life I bought barrettes to put my hair up with. I THINK I may even have cried at a movie this year!

What I thought then and I really feel now is, all that time I despised femininity, and anything to do with my female-ness, was really just sour grapes. I looked like a boy, so darn if I wasn't going to act like a boy for all I was worth and make like I hated anything girly. On some deep deep level where I couldn't even recognize it, I was so sad and felt so deprived that my gender had been taken from me. So it's fun to have it back a bit!

I think we should all go out, and have a HUGE group lingerie shopping trip! ;)
