That was an unfair blanket statement. I have had some really wonderful doctors. The first is my family doctor who is FEMALE and has been my doc since I was born and my moms since before that. She is the same age as my mother. She is the one that diagnosed me PCOS at age 12! She knows her stuff and has been WONDERFUL over the years. She is an obgyn, obstarician, pediatrician, and ear nose and throat specialist.

I then have an excellent RE who is male but sensative to women. He listens to us and loves it when we bring in material for him to read. I was hesitant to go to him because I have this trust issue with male doctors. But he was the only one around these parts that was workign with people in Boston. Im so glad I did. (I was violated by a male gyna quack in Illinois - who said I was fat because I was eating too much mac and cheese - which is not true - and that resulted in my amenorria and infertility)

Another doctor is in Boston that I had with the DCI study who is proficient in PCOS. He is also a good doctor. I only allowed him and not his coworker to examin me because he is gay and I felt comfortable with him.

All 3 of these doctors said to stay away from vaginal products because of the PH balance and hormone issue. My family doc (female) was the first to mention it of course.

You are supposed to use nonfragrent noncolored soap and water. Thats it.
