help with boils and overall skin health

I have suffered with large, painful boils (carbuncles, furuncles, whatever you want to call them) for several years. Mainly in the rear area (good because it's covered up, bad because I have to sit down). Recently, I have been reading about Ayurvedic practices (An East Indian practice that deals with maintaining the body's balance.) Many of the things that are taught are common sense. One that struck me as obvious was a strict warning about using any mineral oil or petroleum based products on our bodies. These substances are inorganic and highly incompatible with our organic bodies. (Baby oil, petroleum jelly and nearly every lotion on the mass market.) Our skin basically drinks it in. Ayurveda warns that we are creating a toxic imbalance. I started using a lotion that is Ayurvedically prepared. I have not had a boil since! It is amazing. And my skin looks better all over too. I feel like I am writing a testimonial, but every time I find a new 'cure' for myself I just feel like I have to know if it works for anyone else.
