Re: All test results came back normal :(From: Hillary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 18 May 2001 16:49:35 -0500 (CDT)
Ok, here are my results (blood taken three days after I started a period; also, three days after I took BCPs): LH: 8.3 mIU/mL FSH: 6.1 mIU/mL DHEA-Sulfate: 105 mcg/dL 17-alpha Hydroxyprogesterone 17-OH Progesterone: 52 ng/dL (I can't tell which of the two progesterones the value represents) TSH, High sensitivity, Serum: 2.47 mcIU/mL Thyroxine (T4): 9.7 mcg/dL T3 uptake: 24% Free Thyroxine Index: 2.3 Estradiol: 28 pg/mL (using the Chiron ACS:180 methodology--whatever that means) Progesterone: 0.3 ng/mL Testosterone, serum: 56 ng/dL My fasting blood results were: Insulin, fasting 10.0 mcU/mL Glucose, plasma: 81 mg/dL (I should point out that I've controlled my intake of carbs for a year and a half--eating only complex carbs balanced with protein and fat, so I'm not too surprised my insulin is low) I'd really like to have the bloodwork done again after I've had at least one full cycle without birth control pills, and eating lots of carbs like I used to. Anyone have any feedback for these results? Thanks in advance.
