hmmm lets weigh some advantages of provera. Not taking it and not having periods for months even if on actos or metformin. Risk of emdometriosis and or cancer. At least if I take provera when I am extremely late with AF it can give me a chance to have an AF and maybe be able to start clomid and get pregnant and decrease my risk for cancer and endometriosis. So I would say I would go with Provera every time even with the risks. I am not allergic to it...I think that would be extremely rare since our body produces progestins. The only side affect I have ever had from it is a queezy feeling if I have to take it more than 3 days...I usually only have to take it for 2-3 and I start AF. So itr works well for me. I have tried some of the natural remedies such as chaste tree berry and saw palmetto and they didnt work to bring on a period and even these seemingly harmless herbs can be toxic if taken in large amounts. Just my 2 cents >
