Re: Dark skin...in strange placesFrom: A (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 09 Apr 2000 00:11:05 -0400
Sonnet- Although I'm not Catherine, I hope you don't mind my responding to your question. I too have suffered from MANY painful boils for years. I hate to say it & it may sound disgusting, but I've found the best way to get rid of a boil is to SQUEEZE!! I know, not much fun..right?! You really have to work on them though...every day! Boil-Ease can also help...but I've also found myself squeezing (popping) the boil myself even after using Boil-Ease. When I do, I do use LOTS of alcohol & peroxide...to dry the boil up once it has been opened. A hot compress can also help....has to be very hot though! That will help bring it to a head so that you may pop it. Just remember to use the alcohol & peroxide if you do choose this route. Also, another help may be drawing salve...it seems to work if you apply it to a band-aid and place over the boil...but it takes quite a bit of time. If all else fails, you may want to have your doc lance them for you. I've known people who have had it done & they are very thankful when its over! Good Luck to you! Alexis Donna wrote:
