I just got diagnosed diabetic and the nutritionist said the guideline for diabetics is between 150 to 200 grams of carbs per day, or 45 to 60 per meal and 15 for a snack. If you're eating 3 meals a day with no snacks you could do up to 60 per meal, with 3 meals and 2 snacks it's 45 per meal and 15 per snack.

You may want to get a book called "Carbohydrate Addict Kids" by Drs. Richard and Rachel Heller. It talks about how food can affect children's moods and behavior. You may also want to see if your daughter has food allergies; they can also cause symptoms similar to ADHD. Also the books "Potatoes not Prozac" has some good information in it; and "The Schwarzbein Principal" by Dr. Dianan Schwarzbein.

Best wishes,
