I am 20 years old and have been diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease since I was 13. At first, I didn't think much about because nothing had changed. i was normal weight, regular periods, a normal teenage girl. two yrs later i went to the er, my lower back was hurting. i was told my eggs were exploding while they dropped. again i wrote it off and thought the dr was wrong. he was fresh out of school. after the pain left, my periods stopped for 1 1/2 to 2 yrs. when it started again, the pain was unbearable and it seemed as if my weight ballooned over night. i became sexually active and began with false pregnancy symptoms. i was put on birth control. it helped for a yr but doesn't seem to help now. i was hospitalized this past october 2000 for what we thought was a miscarriage. it turned out to be the cysts were popping and causeing my eggs to in fact explode. it happens regularly now. any typw of worry or stress sets it off. sometimes it lasts for days. my period in jan lasted until the last of feb. then began again the middle of march and ended th first of april. i am now engaged and want children. in fact now i have more pregnancy symptoms. i haven't gone to check because it will be the 4th one in 6 months. i just found this site and am hoping someone can please help me. i am scared and do not know what my body is doing. if you know anything or can help me in anyway please email me. i don't know what else to do. i recently moved to Missouri and do not have insurance or extra money nor do i know a dr there. thank you in advance for anyone that can help. if istory repeats itself..........then this will get worse i guess. please help me!!!!! ericaj_81@hotmail.com
