Diagnosis PCODFrom: jamie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 2 Apr 2001 17:44:56 -0500 (CDT)
I have just been informed that I most likely have PCOD, now my gyno has told me to prepare myself for an examination in about a month, we went through what would have to be done, but there is one procedure i am not comfortable with. I am fairly comfortable with this doctor although have only been in to see him one time, he implied that he would have to stimulate the clitoris. I don't know much about the procedures for this syndrome, but I am very wary to this procedure. Being 19 and a student i thought i was just going through changes from being away from home, but i used to be 105lbs and now am 132, I find i am irritated, and very moody. I haven't menstruated in about 8 months and only once last year. I do have somewhat of increased hair growth which i remover. I was just wondering if someone could indicate what sort of procedures I should expect when i go in for this visit. I don't need to be surprized, because i am very concious about what is done to my body, and for what reasons. It would be great hearing some advise from someone who is experienced in this topic. thank you
