Re: Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser SyndormeFrom: Gerald P. Rodriguez (geraldpr@roadrunner.com)Sun Feb 28 19:16:54 1999
I recently explored a 38 year old for a 10 cm. pelvic mass presenting with pelvic pain with this syndrome. She had been operated on in the past for a "inguinal hernia" which in fact turned out to be a prolapsed left ovary. The pelvic mass presented to me as a large, tender ovoid mass high in the pelvis to the right of the mid line. She had an absent left kidney and, of interest, was born with esophageal atresia. Anyone care to offer a pre-op diagnosis on the nature of this pelvic mass?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
