Dr. Kates:

Obviously since you were a former "fellow" of Dr. Schifrin, you're biased. I may be wrong with regard the location where he finished his residency, but I know he was kicked out or dismissed from two residency programs. At one of these programs he was considered one of the worst residents ever to work there. Do you know the number of times he has testified for the defense versus the plaintiff? You probably have no idea. Dr. Schifrin is a well known "hired gun". I'm surprised you did not know this until now. If my facts are wrong, please correct us: where did he begin his residency in ob-gyn and for how many programs was he employed as a resident? How many times has he testified for the defense and how many times for the plaintiff? I want facts that can be confirmed, not just numbers! Perhaps you do not know him as well as you think. As for his publications: I personally think he has published a bunch of grabage. FL BAILEY

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
