I performed a cold knife cone in a young woman with CIN I of the endocervical canal. Surgical margins were clear. She had normal withdrawal bleeds to her oral contraceptives for 8 months after the conization. She then presented with severe dysmenorrhea and ultrasound showed a hematocolpos. She underwent dilation of the cervix with evacuation of the hematocolpos. Over the last 6 months, however, she has had persistent amenorrhea with multiple cervical dilations. The external os is open but the internal os continues to restenose. She continues to be on oral contraceptives. Does anyone have any recommendations or know of someone that I can call to obtain some help with this patient? I used to subscribe to this listserve but had to give it up because I couldn't keep up with the volume of email. Thank you for your help,

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
