Re: a profuse vaginal discharge during pregnancyFrom: charlie chambers (cchamber@mnic.net)Sun Feb 7 10:11:55 1999
Reply to several issues, 1. Leaking fluid I'd try injecting indigo carmine during an amnio, place a tampon, and see if any blue ends up on the distal end. Otherwise, I'd assume it's urine from some stress incontinence much less likely would be a previously undiagnosed fistula. 2. Dismissing patients I think it's up to each individual provider to decide when a patient is no longer suitable to be in his/her practice. Certain patient interactions are difficult for me and I can not provide my best care, other patients that other providers cannot deal with put me at my best. Just as each patient can select or leave any provider regardless of cause, I believe we should have the same exact right with the provision that we help them find someone else. 3. Malcom's menorrhagia case. Any thought to OC's or continous progestin (Depo, Minipill), and rebiopsy in 3-6 months? -- ############################################################################

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
