The chronically torsed ovary

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I just picked up a specialty magazine featuring an article on ovarian torsion in young women. On the following page, there appeared a nice picture captioned, "The chronically torsed and necrotic..." This rings an old bell of annoyance, the creation of verbs from nouns, as in wine from water. Hence:

I torse We torse You torse You torse He, she, or it torses They torse

Etc, on through other tenses, participles, gerunds, and so forth. Anyone else object to these liberties? Examples are endless and amusing to compile.

John

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
