I don't know if this is a regional preference or not, but a fluorescent polorization test of amniotic fluid seems to have less false negs as I suspect may be the case here. Now that you have walked down the path of documenting lung maturity, you probably have no choice but to document lung maturity before *elective* C/S. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
