Much like the circumcision discussion, I often feel like I am "whistling" in the wind when discussing the medical benefits of breastfeeding with many of the (especially young) mothers. One day I discovered that a significant subset can be motivated by the more rapid/more complete postpartum weight loss possible with breastfeeding! (more effect than I've ever had discussing benefits to baby by far) 8-))

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
