Ynt: announcement of NFP Research Paper Award for 1996From: Bulent Potur (bpotur@superonline.com)Fri Jul 25 09:47:04 1997
Dear Bernard, Sometimes things which seem to be too simple may not be so. Three years ago me, a pediatrician and a general practitioner from our hospital were sent by the government for a week's course on the formation of the educators for the baby friendly hospitals project. It is about nursing babies witout any additional food or liquid for six months and continuing to nurse them till they are 24 months old. When we were to leave for the course all the colleagues in our hospital made fun of us that we were going to learn and teach how to suckle. But in the end we realized that there were a lot to learn about an issue which seemed to be so natural. Personally I would be very glad if I were able to see the innovations that the mentioned award-winning study brought. Best regards,

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
