Visness in recognition of "Effectiveness of lactational amenorrhea in prevention of pregnancy in Manila, the Philippines," <italic>British Medical Journal </italic>as the research paper published in 1996 which gives the most useful scientific information relevant to Natural Family Planning presented by the Science and Research Committee of the American Academy of Natural Family Planning, July 19, 1997. </bigger>The award was personally received by Kathy Irene Kennedy on behalf of all of the authors. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
