Lady with known antiphospholipid syndrome (miscarriage x3, lupus anticoagulant positive), no previous thromboses & otherwise well. Successful pregnancy with low dose aspirin. Had a c/s for fetal distress. Post-op she's had prophylactic heparin 5000u twice daily. What to do when she goes home? Continue aspirin (is it safe with breastfeeding)? Or would you continue prophylactic heparin for 6 weeks. Or would you stop everything at this time. Thanks. Danny.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
