Geff: Some of this issues was just presented at a C/Section reduction workshop. The are a number of hospitals that are allowing po liquids during labor, increased ambulation, walking epidurals and no iv access. The detriming factor is that the Obstetrian determines that this is a low risk patient. otherwise you do what is is in the best interested of the patient Myer

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
