We have just started this service in our area ( town of 14000 in south west Colorado). The woman operating the business has previously worked as a lay midwife, RN and most recently as the office nurse for our midwife practice here. I think it is a fabulous idea and much needed in our semi-rural area. If you like, I would be glad to have her contact you directly with more information ( ie reimbursement issues).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
